Finding the Right Wedding Photographer

By Shawn Smith

A wedding is one of the most signficant occasions which comes once a lifetime (hopefully). Not only is it a point when 2 people come together as one, but the occasion can be caught on film. It is essential that you hire the right photographer to capture the atmosphere of the day. Additionally as wedding pictures can be high-priced, it is very important you do your research and find the best professional photographer that gives value and service.

Generally referrals for marriage photographers come thru recommendation by friends. However if you don't know any person that can help , the most effective way is to jump onto the Web and perform a search. Enter key phrases like "professional photographer" into Google or Bing and see what results that you get. Google generally will target your physical location, however if you need to be specific, enter you geographical location before the word photographer, as an example" Melbourne Photographer".

When looking for your ideal photographer, you'll need to take into account the following aspects:

Price: this is always the sticking point. But I suggest that you don't base your decision wholly on cost. Consider what service the photographer is providing in terms of locations, the length of service offered on the day and after service.

Testimonials: This I believe is important. Do not simply take the testimonials of the photographers website as gospel. Of course they will only have positive testimonials listed. Again jump up on Google and type in reviews and name of photographer and see what comes up. Weigh up any negative against the positive as a part of your points to consider.

Portfolio: This is an obvious one. But ask to see their shots from previous jobs. From there you will get a good indication as to whether you like their style, angle shots and whether they will be able to capture the essence of what you want to achieve on the big day.
