The lens never fogged up and the pictures were very good; clarity, color and lighting. The camera never got submersed in water completely because I never tripped and fell in the river and I did not take any underwater pictures.
On the river I took numerous pictures with all the settings to be very disappointed. The quality was so terrible; I double checked all the settings to make sure it was not user error. I highly recommend this camera. The fact that it is a factory reconditioned camera with full warranty at a fraction of the cost of a new one is just icing on the cake.
While I haven't exposed it deliberately to any of these yet...I'll update once it's been initiated. I bought this camera for my daughter to take on her vacation. I snorkeled several times for the whole week and it did not fail. So I opted to buy my own Olympus to use on my next trip to Mexico. It totally works as described and it really is as good as the commercials. I'm definitely going to take this camera snowboarding, boating, hiking, and everywhere else that is EXTREME! Unfortunately it does not allow adding a date stamp directly on the jpeg image files. Not good.
I carried that camera there for 19 months without a glitch. Every day it was in my cargo pocket ready for action no matter the environment, sand storms, cold, hot, dust, and it received its fair share of dents and scratches along the way. It has been about 3 months and now the camera won't even turn on. I'm sending it back to Olympus, we will see, I researched "Tough" Cameras for a few months before I made my purchase. There are so many more disappointing things about this camera that it's almost not worth typing. It's still not working after 2 months now.
Hey, if you have it on macro, of course the picture will be blurry, if you're taking a picture of the sunset...learn how the camera works before giving it a horrible review. The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings.
Many families were asking about it and after my friends saw what it did they went out and purchased them for themselves as well. Of course I am the only one with a bright pink camera. I highly recommend buying the extended warranty if you get this camera. This camera has many positive attributes that should make it attractive to the casual photographer or videographer (or even to serious hobbyists who might themselves unable to schlep full size gear).
Make sure you have the right scene set for iAuto, you don't serious expect landscape mode to take a good family picture do you" I posted some pictures in different modes so you can get of sense of some the cameras features and capabilities.
Also, night shooting seems to be sub-par, so just do not plan to use it for that. Word to the wise, get multiple batteries.

About the Author:
I think the majority of the bad reviews is caused by the average users basic knowledge of a camera, most people have no idea what half the settings are, or what they mean, so the bad picture quality, is their own fault. garage work bench.
