Different Beats By Rap Artist

By Farah Fan

Whatever style rap artist you're into, you'll need a beat. And your selections of rap beats run the range from dirty south beats, to old school beats, R&B beats even pop beats, but one of the most neglected and strong styles of beat there is today is the instrumental rap beat or the rap which samples long instrumental parts between its base lines.

It is basically intertwined with the hip hop culture that also includes break dancing, appearance, graffiti and also the attitude of people who opted in for the traditions of this subculture. The current state of this genre is a result of the influence Jamaican music had on this music and major American artists and their styles and the technology that played an important role in its evolution in the US. The origin of this genre was Bronx in Nyc that was filled with poor individuals alongside crime, drug addiction, and unemployment that gave an outburst to street gang activity. The first ever street gang was known as Black Spades of which, the popular hip hop legend Afrika Bambaata was also part.

Early eighties introduced a culture of music and dance in clubs along with a major spread of graffiti. Graffiti linked individuals. Graffiti and rap music originated from the same cultural conditions and some prominent graffiti writers went on to record and play an influential role in the development of the rap business.. Rap music can endure the influence of some other (ethnic/social) groups and still be well-known and thrive.

As this music progressed and became famous, even female rappers came to the top; it might be because there are a lot more women buying records who want to relate to women rap artists and there are a lot more men who want to hear a lady's point of view. Female rap artist aside from providing a different attitude have shown that rap could be far more important and adaptable than its critics have said. At times, this music acts only as dance music and the people can't know what the rapper was telling. It goes on to show that, it is the beat and the rhythm that's more essential and the rapper's role is to match the intensity of the music rhythmically. This also explains why some records whose lyrics are racist or very brutal in nature could be so popular.

Likewise, there are many other influences like gospel music. It is one musical area where they're starting to make their very own rap artist. This music cannot influence other types till rap music itself is not influenced by other styles. In the US, although this genre is a big business, both white and black local radio stations are still reluctant to play it for the fear of losing advertisers. They fail to realize that today this particular music style has hit such a level in which record companies cater almost entirely to rap music. Rap music in the United States is truly a minority that deserves more credit as well as recognition. There is still more evolution to accomplish for this music style in US.
